Founded in 1969, Heong Kei Iok Kon was the first jerky shop opened in Macau. The small shop at Rua de Cinco de Outubro was of 150 square feet only. However, it was always crowded by tens of customers, including local people and tourists, who were attracted by their rich meaty jerky smell. The two chefs of Heong Kei were specially employed from Singapore and they were very famous in the industry. With the unique recipes, Heong Kei has endeavored to improve the taste better and better, and has finally created its own unique jerky products. Since then, Heong Kei has been one of the best jerky shops in Hong Kong and Macau.
Since it is founded, Heong Kei has been innovating various new food selections, including “Phoenix Egg Rolls with Shredded Pork Jerky”, “Boar Jerky”, “Agar and Egg Rolls with Shredded Pork Jerky” etc. Quality is the peak priority of Heong Kei and therefore they specially employ reputed chefs and use quality imported ingredients: quality almonds from US for Almond Cookies, quality Indian curry powders for Curry Beef Grain, Australian milk powders for Egg Rolls, etc. Quality control and hygiene control are conducted.
